This stately Historic Victorian home has recently undergone a renovation by DeJonge Homes including a new energy efficient furnace and radiators, new Eagle windows throughout, and fresh interior and exterior paint.

Additional improvements included brick pointing, and new kitchen and mud room flooring.

This home is registered on the National Registry of Historic Places and the utmost care was taken to preserve its historic authenticity.

What started with burst pipes led to an entire house remodel of this Walloon Lake waterfront home.

From the center ridge of the rafters down to the footings, the project included a complete replacement of all systems within the house including mechanical, electrical and plumbing as well as sound insulation and basement waterproofing.

DeJonge Homes saved authentic details of the home while replacing all of the hardwood floors to original specifications.

The great room fireplace was uncovered and restored creating the heart of the home in the form of hand cut limestone with a wood mantle reclaimed from a local historic barn.

Working closely with Sears Architects, DeJonge Homes remodeled the home to fit the lifestyle of its owners, creating a high style cottage environment complete with spacious covered porch from which to relax and enjoy the spectacular northern Michigan sunsets.

Although not large in size by new cottage standards, this house is big on personality and was featured in Michigan Home Resource Guide.

This sprawling yet dated home sits on one of the premier Walloon Lake waterfront sites with sunset views. DeJonge Homes worked hand in hand with Kloka Design Group to create a heavenly Northern Michigan retreat for the owners by blending functionality with historic cottage charm.

Renovation included exterior painting, bathrooms remodeling, interior trim and paneling, new furnace and plumbing. The project finished with new windows to open views to the lake.

What better way to enjoy a Northern Michigan pastoral scene than relaxing on a spacious hand crafted deck by DeJonge Homes.

The owner wanted to step outside the box and create a space that offered non-linear design and eccentricity.

With subtly curved railings and an asymmetrical design, the deck offers a beautiful space from which to enjoy a summer afternoon.

Set in a private wooded setting with unparalleled hilltop views of Little Traverse Bay and Round Lake, this house was not only dated it was broken in so many ways.

The renovation involved a top to bottom overhaul boasting a new roof, new windows, new mechanical and electrical, and foundation waterproofing as well as bathroom remodeling, complete kitchen remodel with concrete countertops, and (extricating) removing an inefficient fireplace.

A vestibule was created to enhance the entryway of the home and beautiful Indian Paint slate floors were installed creating an immediate welcome to the home.

The renovation was complete with reinforcing and expanding the extensive deck from which to enjoy sunset views over Little Traverse Bay.
